Disney Channel star Miley Cyrus has broken up with her boyfriend of almost nine months and is tweeting about it.
Miley Cyrus and Justin Gaston are calling it quits and the ’tween sensation’s ex, Nick Jonas may be to blame! Amid a flurry of pained Twitter posts, the 16-year-old singer/actress and her 21-year-old BF have called it quits. “Tears are words the heart can’t express,” Cyrus Tweeted. The next morning Gaston replied “How many tears are in there? They’ve gotta run out soon, right?” A source confirmed that the couple ended their relationship over the weekend. “They broke up on Sunday before she left for Savannah to film her new movie, ‘The Last Song,’ ” the source told People. Apparently the romance also went south - in a hurry. The pair was spotted together at the “Hannah Montana” wrap party in L.A. on Friday and all seemed well. No official reason has been given for the breakup although Us magazine attributes it to Cyrus’ close working relationship with the Jonas Brother, her ex-boyfriend.
"They have been recording music and spending more time together," says the source. Cyrus and Jonas, 16, also saw each other in L.A. on Saturday for Disney's Friends for Change video shoot.
Reps for Cyrus and Gaston had no comment.
