White Stripes drummer Meg White engaged to Jackson Smith
Meg White, drummer for The White Stripes, is engaged to guitarist Jackson Smith, the son of iconic rockers Patti and Fred Smith,
White’s rep told “I can confirm Meg and Jackson will be married some time this year,” the rep told the mag’s Web site. This will be White’s second marriage. The musician was previously married to her White Stripes bandmate, Jack White, back in 1996. They divorced in 2000.
Smith's future hubby, Jackson Smith, is the son of punk singer Patti Smith and late MC5 guitarist Fred "Sonic" Smith.
The couple will wed on May 22 in Nashville, sources tell the Detroit Free Press.
