Robert Pattinson hit by a taxi while running away from fans
Tween girls across the planet can breathe a sign of relief: "Twilight" star Robert Pattinson was unhurt after being clipped by a cab Thursday in Manhattan.
Robert Pattinson was grazed by a taxicab today in New York City, as his bodyguards maneuvered him quickly across a street to avoid a crowd of fans.One of the site's staffers witnessed the incident, which left Pattinson momentarily stunned but unharmed. One of his security team allegedly yelled "You see what you did, you almost killed him!" to the crowd, but we'll have to wait until the footage shows up on YouTube to confirm that.
Pattinson, 23, did not appear to be injured and was able to walk away from the incident.
Production sources on the Remember Me set claim that Pattinson regularly attracts mobs of fans throughout the city wherever they're filming. "It's been nonstop busy all day with people trying to get a glimpse of him, and the crowd goes nuts when they do see him," a set source told PEOPLE Tuesday.
"The reports are exaggerated," said Vivian Mayer, a spokeswoman for the film production company. "It was not caused by his fans. Production continues."
The new film costars Emilie de Ravin, the Australian actress who plays Claire on "Lost."
Pattinson has been mobbed all over town.
The young actor was dubbed "Most Handsome Man In The World" in a landslide vote in a recent Vanity Fair online poll.
