'Star Trek' director Leonard Nimoy beams into 'Fringe' finale

Fringe is a science fiction television series. In this series tonight as Leonard Nimoy guest-stars on Fox's "Fringe."
Leonard Simon Nimoy (born March 26, 1931) is an American actor, film director, poet, musician and photographer. He is best known for playing the character of Spock on Star Trek, an American television series that ran for three seasons from 1966 to 1969, reprising the role in the movie sequels (most recently 2009's Star Trek) and the spin-off series Star Trek: The Next Generation.

Leonard Nimoy guest-stars on tonight's "fringe" finale, playing William Bell, the much-talked-about but never-seen Massive Dynamics director. The 78-year-old actor is making the talk-show rounds and appeared on "Saturday Night Live," promoting the new "Star Trek" movie, where he reprises the role that made him famous. But Nimoy did some interesting TV work before and after his days as Mr. Spock.
