A SECOND man has died after the collapse of a stage being set up for a Madonna concert in Marseille France. The victim is thought to be a British man, 32, who had been in intensive care in a neurosurgery ward since the accident yesterday. A Frenchman, 53, was killed on the spot when the giant structure collapsed during the set-up for the concert, which was later cancelled. Eight other people were seriously hurt, including an American who was in a life-threatening condition. About 36 people had minor injuries. More than 30 people suffered minor injuries and shock, according to authorities. The roof "started shaking and collapsing" gradually, said Marseille city councillor Maurice Di Nocera. "Since it did not collapse right away that allowed several people to get out," he said.
